The Indiana Toll Road (ITR) opened in 1956, stretching 157 miles in Northern Indiana from the Ohio to Illinois borders. The ITR was leased by the State of Indiana to the Indiana Toll Road Concession Company (ITRCC) in 2006. IFM Investors acquired the ITR in 2015 and assumed he remaining 66 years of the Concession Lease Agreement. The ITRCC remains responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ITR and has committed to a capital upgrade program in 2016-17 of over $300M.
